Security At Sea

Anticipate and prevent security risks.

Intelligence gives the ability to anticipate security risks enabling a more effective response. To enhance surveillance and minimize vulnerability, V.Navy proposes a range of surveillance equipment and response systems.

Threats
Potential threats are constantly monitored by our intelligence team , which is structured in line with the main security risk areas around the world. Customers are kept continuously informed.

Vulnerability
Just as navigation watch-keeping is fundamental to avoiding collision, security watch keeping through V.Navy’s long and short-range detection services is fundamental to avoiding security breaches.

Detection (long range)
V.NAVY develops the product SeaOwl combining an electromagnetic sensor (radar) and an infra red sensor (360° coverage). Those two sensors are combined enabling a panoramic infra-red overview in the same referential than the radar. This is the foremost technology merging two different sensors covering 360°. Moreover, our partner Sea On line has developed the product ASV (Automatic Sea Vision) which allows automatic recognition in the infra-red field.

Response (short range)
The short range approach area of the ship is watched by an optical camera and a nearby infrared illuminator. The camera and illuminator are steered automatically toward a target detected by the long range device. This system can be programmed to trigger the ship’s response mechanisms, typically either be LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device) or a water cannon.
